
Vegetables are one of the best things we can eat, but often the most avoided foods or maybe ‘boring’ foods to our taste buds. But, according to, ABC Science Article, ‘For every extra 200 grams of vegetables and fruit eaten each day, there’s an 8 per cent reduction in the risk for heart disease, a 16 per cent risk reduction for stroke and a 10 per cent reduction in risk of dying from any cause, according to research using data from 95 individual studies.’ With all of these known facts; why do we still go for the more processed options? Time, flavor, and well lack of knowledge in how to cook them. It’s time we read the facts and applied what we know about the great benefits of eating vegetables.
